Bill Barsella Promotion
New Midwest Region Vice President and Director of Architectural/Engineering Services

Bill Barsella, PE, SE, has now been promoted to Midwest Region Vice President and Director of Architectural/Engineering Services. He will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of our regional architecture, engineering, and CADD service groups. Bill succeeds Jim Speicher who has now moved into the Project Director position for the complex Pfizer VMRD project, and will also be our representative in the AECOM Building Engineering Group. |
Bill has more than 20 years in our business. He began his career with Austin in 2000, and subsequently managed technically-complex Design-Build projects for clients such as the US Postal Service, Pharmacia, Pfizer, and the Journal Sentinel. He most recently directed the design and construction of two major R&D projects for MPI Research, and also handled the project management on the Owner's behalf, for the completion of the Pfizer MACT Boiler House project.
When Austin AECOM was being organized in 2005, Bill participated in several process improvement initiatives including the development of our Quality Management System (QMS) and also due diligence on project management information systems. Bill is a Registered Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer in the State of Illinois.
